Warped Tour even better wetter

What do you get when you have nearly 20,000 teenagers from every section of the proverbial high school cafeteria hopped up on energy drinks and raw guitar shreds? The annual Vans Warped Tour, of course.

Halfway through the marathon event, at about 4 p.m., the Comcast Center parking lot became a slip’n’-slide. And while fans adoring upstate New York rap-rock outfit Gym Class Heroes’ set survived the first wave, the second, more lethal mini-monsoon forced the sold-out crowd into the amphitheater.

Lucky for the bands scheduled to play inside. With all eight outdoor stages temporarily closed, the wicked hyped St. Louis mellow punk squad Ludo got the chance to jam for, well, just about everyone.

While the boys at first seemed overwhelmed, they finished hard and likely earned more converts than any other act all day.

Though the sun finally emerged after nearly an hour and the outdoor stages reopened, a thick crowd stayed to watch the uber-hipster Malibu rap duo Shwayze.
