Web Exclusive! Kid Rock's revival tour returns home

The revival has resumed.

Kid Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band brought their Rock N' Roll Revival back home Saturday night (July 19) with the first of four shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre, just south of Rock's Clarkston Home. The two-hour, 17-song concert was a celebration of Rock's career and his particular connections with a sold out crowd whose affinity for his Michigan-centric lyrics is unmatched anywhere else in the country.

Following an opening set by Uncle Kracker, Rock and company charged on stage to the title track of his latest album, the Platinum Rock N Roll Jesus and throughout the show offered hits such as "Cowboy," "Only God Knows Why," Picture" and his latest smash "All Summer Long" as well as surprises like a cover of Martha & The Vandellas' Motown classic "Dancing in the Street." As with previous, Rock N' Roll Revival shows, the Rev Run from Run-DMC was the show's special guest, duetting with Rock on a 15-minute medley of the the rap group's hits..
