There's a way to stage a concert. Then there's a way to throw a Kenny Chesney party.

You put more than 47,000 rowdy fans in Ford Field on a Saturday night, add a big dose of beer and rum, toss a supersized rock-inspired spectacle into the mix, and you've got one of Detroit's biggest music events of the summer.

In front of a rambunctious, hard-partying crowd Saturday, country star Chesney reprised last August's Ford Field show, delivering much of the same loose-and-lively vibe -- and hit-laden set list -- that marked that affair.

The sweaty, hyperkinetic Chesney scampered around his sprawling stage as he launched with the brass-punched "Beer in Mexico," following a long day of music that had included stars Sara Evans and Brooks & Dunn.

Too Loud!!! Poor quality sound.
sound quality was bad, but he show was fun. Brooks & Dunn brought everyone to tears with the special appearance of armed forces members during "Only in America" Fantastic!

Great concert. Didn't think Kenny was on top of his game. Sound quality was poor for the headliner.
Kenny was at this best, but the acoustics were not good at the start of his show. They did make adjust- ments as the concert progressed. Much better than his performance last year!
Brooks and Dunns' tribute to our troops was amazing! Sugarland was quite entertaining!
kenny was so bad I left after 3 songs. broos & dunn were great.
Kenny was on top in Detroit, if you think otherwise, you drank way to much!
Absoutely terrible sound system--I go to most all country concerts in Detroit area. THE WORSE SOUND SYSTEM! But of course had a GREAT time!
This was my second Kenny concert this year and forth year in a row for attending his concerts- this year his shows have been a little shorter and not as exciting as pervious years- but he is still great! Brooks and Dunn were excellent!
I think i built the show up to much, so i was disapointed, He sounded terrible because he keeped moving the microphone around. Also there was no pyro witch could have made the show better...It was also the worse closing if i wanted to end a show with keep on rolling i would have went to see REO. The only thing that saved him is that he had enough hits that everyone new. He is a Musician but not a Preformer
I can't believe all the reviews so far. Maybe they had terrible seats. I thought the sound quality was terrific. One of my top 5 shows of all time and I don't even like country. I generally go to about 5-10 concerts a year for the past 13 years.

Kenny was full of energy and was rocking on stage the entire set. I hate how most concerts do 2 or 3 encores these days. Typical bands are wasting time and begging for applause, it's almost expected. Not Kenny he rocked past 11pm... (And for those unfamiliar with concert time limits: The show bleeds money to the concert venue when they don't end the show by 11pm.) His band managers were begging for him to stop.

I'd easily pay $100 to see him again. Great Concert.
Why was the sound system good for the piped music in between performers, but the sound qualify for the performers was so poor? The video delay with the singing was totally weird.
