MARC ANTHONY
NADA PERSONAL TOUR
Marc Anthony's Nada Personal Tour will kick-off June 11th in San Juan, Puerto Rico followed by a North American tour that will see Marc turn it up from Miami through Chicago to Toronto, through Los Angeles. Born Marco Antonio Mu?iz, Anthony first hit the charts in 1993 with his Otra Nota album and reached the #1 slot on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart with Todo A Su Tiempo (1995), Contra La Corriente (1997), which earned him the Tropical Latin Album Grammy in 1998, and Libre (2001). Driven in part by the crossover success of smash single, "I Need to Know," Marc Anthony, his English language debut, helped usher in 1999's Latin pop explosion, and went on to achieve triple platinum status in the U.S. culminating in a HBO concert special. Mended, 2002's English language successor to Marc Anthony, debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 the week of its release in May 2002 and has gone one to sell more than 1.3 million copies worldwide. Marc most recently garnered three Premio Lo Nuestro Awards In February 2004 winning for best male artist, song of the year, "Barco a la Deriva" from the Libre album, and salsa performer of the year in the tropical category.
In addition to more than a decade's worth of chart-topping salsa successes, Marc Anthony has established a highly credible acting r?sum? and can be seen in Martin Scorsese's "Bringing Out the Dead" (1999) and opposite Salma Hayak in the Showtime original film, "In the Time of the Butterflies" (2001). Anthony appears with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in director Tony Scott's new thriller, "Man On Fire," scheduled to open April 23, 2004.
Look for Marc's forthcoming Spanish language release entitled Amar Sin Mentiras in stores June 1, 2004, followed by a full-length salsa release in July 2004.
