Nashville, TN – Tropical singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett charts new waters on July 13 with the release of latest album, License To Chill, featuring country classics, new Buffett material and duets with Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, George Strait, Toby Keith and plenty more of the hottest stars in country music today. The album’s debut single, a Buffett-ized version of the Hank Williams classic “Hey Good Lookin’,” which he performs with Chesney, Jackson, Strait, Keith, and Black, is already hovering near the top of the country charts (currently #10 Billboard and #9 in R&R.) Jimmy kicks off the release of his latest sun-filled, fun-filled project in L.A. this week with a special live radio broadcast at 6 p.m. PDT. Several big-name, surprise guests are expected to call in during the hour-and-a-half broadcast, which will be heard on hundreds of radio stations nationwide. The special will also be simulcast on Jimmy's own Radio Margaritaville. Fans were able to get an early taste of the album Sunday night (7/11) when Buffett hosted Blair Garner’s “After MidNite” radio show, and online listening parties for fans are being held on both CMT.com and AOL music in celebration of the anticipated release.
A video for “Hey Good Lookin,’” has just been added to CMT’s coveted Hot Shot rotation and features studio scenes combined with footage from the wildly successful Texas Stadium concert earlier this summer featuring Buffett, Alan Jackson, and George Strait.
