You can tell the Who are, and will always be a welcome guest in Detroit. Forgiving of broken guitar strings, strained lead singing voices and even a restarted song. Selections included their original "hammer" songs, a replay of their Woodstock Tommy medley and a wonderful finish with a more mature, sedate but beautiful number from Endless Wire "Tea and Theater" which Townsend waved off but, I believe Daltrey struggling by this time of the 2 1/2 hour set, gave the OK to. They gave their all and more which made it a great experience. Long live Rock, long live the WHO... | |
