I love their music and really enjoyed the concert. This being said - 3 things: 1) Volume - they were playing at 11 and really needed to turn it down a notch as it seemed to distort the music. It was obviously louder than Styx and louder definitely isn't better; 2) Energy - seemed like the band started slow & sluggish. Almost like the music is so huge, it's hard to get it off the ground and moving. I thought this might be due to the band just getting back out on the road and it's just another couple of concerts till they get it tight, rocking & rolling; 3) New lead singer - I was really looking forward to hearing the new lead singer, Tommy DeCarlo, but it seemed like the guitarist sang more songs than he did. Again - not sure if this is because they're just getting back on the road and are working things out, but I was a little disappointed. Overall, however, the entire show was great - I loved being there and would pay the $$ again in a heartbeat to see them. | |
