Ahhh, it just doesn't get any better than this. Hicks rules the stage, and the crowd loves every minute of it. It's been a long time since a concert was just plain fun!!! Thanks TH.
Taylor will keep bypassing everyone on here with reviews. He's the star of the entertainment industry. Soul Patrol rules.

I waited months to see Taylor Hicks, but it was well worth the wait. Now I'll have to wait again, but at least now I know what's coming... His concert is so much fun and energy, the excitement stays with you for days. I am so proud of and for him.
Harp and soul! That describes the concert at Newport News Saturday night! The Taylor Hicks Show is different every night and this time Hicks wailed on the blues harp like nobody's business. What a great show this man puts on - better and better! Hurry - get your ticket NOW - this tour leg is winding down, but the best is yet to come!
i went to the show and he was awesome he gets you to be in his moment of feeling the music and then he taylorized you right when he comes on stage . he was more talkative and made some johes with josh in chicken picking and then he went into his chicken imitation and it was hilarious he is the star to watch now since elvis is gone so if you have a chance to go and see himand see for yourself that he is the king of soul now in his live performance. he is a no 10 in my book.
taylor you rock the roof off last night in va. thank you for doing the dance moves for your fans. you need to make a video with the chicken imitation and show the world you are here to stay.
The Newport News concert was another outstanding performance by Taylor Hicks and lots of new fans were won over. Taylor's concerts are a combination of soul, jazz, romantic, passionate, happy, dixieland and rock music. There's something for everyone to enjoy. The band is top notch and everyone is exceptionally talented.

There were some people who only knew Taylor from his appearances on the TV show but at the end of the concert they were true fans and told me he is quite good.

I've enjoyed the summer tour and look forward to continuing to follow Taylor Hicks in the future. Thanks for a wonderful year of stellar music.
he is the best!!!
I thought it was a nice mixed crowd, but I guess it depended on where you were sitting. I saw a good mix of young, and old, couples, little kids. There were two adorable little boys up front that looked about 8 years old and they seemed to having a great time. I would say the theater was more than 3/4 full. AND LOUD....They really loved him...

Taylor was extremely talkative in Newport News! Even more so than Hagerstown. Nothing "earthshattering"., just fun and laughing and joking with the audience. He was asked who won the game, and he made some faces and said I LOVE VIRGINIA, I LOVE VIRGINIA. He said that he was wearing the same shirt that he wore at halftime show and the same underwear! Of coarse the crowd was hooping and hollerin at this, and quite a few people screamed out: SHOW US, SHOW US!!!!!! He told the Clive Davis story before singing his single, JUST TO FEEL THAT WAY, but added more, saying that after he heard it, he did not like it,..etc..etc.....and now its JUST THE BEST SONG, ISN'T it????, and the crowd cheered loudly. Lots of banter before every song. It seemed that way to me anyway.

Taylor did not have a guitar during the show, or his tamborine! BUT THERE WAS LOTS OF HARP~~~~~~~~~!!!!...... AND I'LL TAKE THAT, ANY DAY ......He did something really cool playing the harp in and out during THE DEAL. I had never heard that before.

I missed hearing THE RIGHT PLACE, but Whever I Lay My Hat, and THE FALL, more than made up for that. When I realized he was going to do "HAT" I screamed out: THANK YOU.........FINALLY!!!!!!!!!"..........Haaaaaaaaaaaa. I couldn't help it. I really love that song, and he hadn't been singing it much lately. It was beautiful, of coarse with nice tagging of Thank you (letting me be myself) and Night Shift. Sigggggggggggh..It was GREAT! lol...

There was lots and lots of crazy, sexy dancing too. Taylor did the DIRTY DOG and kept stopping and raising his eyebrows to the crowd grinning, who obligingly begged for more........and they got it! A few times back and forth, back and forth. He seemed to be having the time of his life, and I KNOW I was.

He did the chickin pickin with guitarist, Josh and then the CHICKEN DANCE! WOW..............I am sure y'all have seen the chicken dance, so just imagine a more over the top, Taylorized Version.

I hope those of you listening to the cc could hear the crowd...............THEY LOVED HIM...WHO WOULDN'T.?? There would have to be something wrong with you.

I don't know what put Taylor in this kind of mood, but I sure hope it continues through the last few shows!

I have no pictures, no video (small clip......with Taylor spinning on the stool after THE FALL)..its on media. I do have the audio of most of the songs, with the banter and I will try to finish putting them on sendspace tonight when I get home from work!

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT SHOW~! And I can't wait for the next one.
He is better than everyone on here!! Another great performance from the king of soul.
From where I was sitting, the sound was just too loud and seemed garbled. We could not understand the lyrics at all. I love Taylor Hicks and was quite disappointed. He was having fun and gave a good show....if only we could have understood ANYTHING he said or sang. I contemplated leaving halfway through but decided to hang in there just in case the sound improved. It did not.
The sound was GREAT! Where were you sitting? I heard every note and word from Row E Orchestra. Fantastic concert! Mad harmonica and great vocals combined with a killer band.
Run, don't walk away from this show!
