The weather was cool and drizzling; Taylor Hicks was HOT and SMOKING. An outstanding concert. Taylor and the band put on an excellent show; the songs were all unbelieveable. If you haven't heard Taylor and this kick ass band perform you have missed a treat. Taylor has said the first harmonica piece he learned to play was Take the Long Way Home and it is a hauntingly beautiful piece of music -- Taylor Hicks is a master at this instrument.

The concert was a wonderful end to the fair. An outstanding review is available in the Bloomsburg Republic newspaper. Hope we can post it
OUTSTANDING!!! WISH I WAS THERE.

Taylor Hicks closed out the Bloomsburg fair with a flourish seldom seen in these parts.

Just came back from a fantastic show at the Bloomsburg Fair.....Taylor has taken me to some interesting spots in the last seven months and this was no exception!

After our three hour and fifteen minute drive from New Jersey we checked into our hotel.....had a bite to eat....the last thing on my mind before seeing Taylor...but I was outvoted!

My friends, Stacey, Candy and I arrived at the fair just in time to see the sky turn dark and sprikles begin.......DREAD.....WHY NOW?......I couldn't stand the thought of this concert being cancelled......we all donned jackets with hoods and made our way in to the grandstand area. Steven was there....always fun to see him.....he has really become a "must see" at all the shows. He is a doll. Took some new pics with him and found out he will be in Millersville.....great!

Luckily our seats were covered....we were in the fifth row.....Before long......SOULFINGER!!!! YES!!!!! What a great feeling....no matter how many times we have seen Taylor and the guys it never gets less thrilling....Taylor arrived on the stage like he was shot out of a cannon!!!! He ran on and did a big leap right in front of the mike......it was great!!!! He looked fantastic....dark jeans....high v-neck shirt and grey sports jacket....It was nice to see him in a jacket again as we have seen him in t-shirts for the hot and humid part of the tour....(not bad either!!) He seemed very happy to be there and was in great voice. He was sans guitar and tamourine again....He seems to be mixing the songs up even more the last few shows....becoming more bluesy (LOVE IT) and soulful if possible! He did 'Dirty Low Down" like I have never heard before.....he was so into it.....it is hard to describe just how awesome it was....my friend, Candy has the video....it has to be seen to be believed.....ooooooooeeeeeewwwww.............Thanks once again Cand!!!
.

He spotlighted the guys alot, in particular band member, Josh who was OUTSTANDING! Chickin Pickin and all!! I spoke to Josh afterward and told him how much we appreciated him.....and he told us that he will be in Millersville...YES!! The guys seemed to be real happy to be together having had a couple of weeks off......real relaxed....especially keyboard wizard, Loren Gold....so nice to see!!

The highlight of the night for me was when Taylor did "The Right Place"......he didn't do an audience response in the beginning as he has been....With both hands on his heart he started singing like I have NEVER heard him....he absolutely blew me away with this song last night....before I knew it tears were streaming down my face. I have said this before...I have been to many concerts before with many excellent performers BUT I have never seen anyone like Taylor.....he gives so much of himself every time.....he sings from his heart to your heart flooding you with emotion......If you see him fifty times he manages to make each night special..always doing something different to remember...He is outstanding.

When he announced that he was doing the last song of the evening, Runaround, everyone stormed the stage....he finished with "Long Way Home" complete with outrageous harp....I was standing right in front of him at the stage....needless to say I enjoyed every moment......what a night!!

After the show we walked around the fair....really something to see..they had everything from candy apples to 400 thread count Egyptian sheets!! Saw lots of soul patrollers....we heard that Boogie and Josh were taking in the sights also....great!! Never having been a "fair" person it turned out to be fun....another different experience with Taylor being the draw!! On to Millersville!!!
I've seen Taylor twice - back in May, and was on cloud nine, especially at the HOB on the Sunset Strip. I actually met him at the Anaheim concert in the back of the venue. (No one was aroud - it was GREAT) My friend & I got our shirts signed, and our tickets.. he couldn't have been nicer.
I'm jealous of all of you that have the great fortune to see him recently. I look forward to him coming back the the west coast. TAYLOR IS THE MAN!!!!!!

i wish i could went but i am saving my time for millerville and i hope i met a lot of soulpatrol fans there
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!! I wish you a year full of happiness & much success. You're the best!
This guy rocks! Don't miss a chance to see him live!
Taylor - We all miss you on the west coast. Come back SOOON!!! Hio to my fellow soul patrollers. Tay it forward with everyone you meet. Wooooooooooo!!!!!!
Whomp at the Warfield was the best on HDnet. The only thing missing was me in the audience. There is nothing like the presence of Taylor in the room on the stage doing his thang. I know this to be true. I've seen him twice (wish it was more) and I'm completely sold for life. The man definitely WORKS the room. I hope I get the chance to see one or more of his acoustic shows he's planning.
Atlanta needs you back here... The Tabernacle is cold and dark. Come back to Georgia TH.
i just got back from millersville pa and taylor hicks show was his last show for the summer and fall and it was a 5.00 rating it was a homecoming show for the college students in millersville but it was a homecoming for taylor fans soul patrol they came all over the united states and even from canda and this was an awesome show . taylor makes his fans fill alive and he is a fanasatic artist and musician and he will be in the studio and making his next album . he has being in a tale spin in the last year or so and he is still living his dream. if you have not seen him in a live performance go to see him on his next tour 2008 he is one in a millon soulpatrolto his fans
Taylor is bigger the the Stones, Beatles, Elvis, Rush, Genesis all rolled into one. He is the one everyone will be talking about for decades to come.
By far, the worst concert experience I have ever had!
Not too bad for a cover band.
Fantastic show! Taylor Hicks Live is a must-see experience!
Cover band? Hicks plays mostly originals, and the covers he does play are hot new takes on the originals. Don't miss this show!
This concert RAWKED BIG TIME ! It was one good rollickin' fun night. We drove all the way from Grove City College to watch his concert and it was worth the trip.

A combination of his early compositions and current originals plus some great covers that haven't been performed for a long time.

Taylor Hicks has to be seen live to be greatly appreciated.
I LOVE TAYLOR HICKS!!! He has HEART, SOUL, PASSION, RESPECT for his band, and most important - he knows how to have a good time and let everyone feel the joy he has on stage.
Quite a treasure that man is. I look forward to enjoying the bright career he definitely has ahead of him.
I met him at the first concert of many of his that I had attended. It was amazing because I actually met him in the back of the venue where he was just hanging out before the show. No crowd at all to deal with. I couldn't believe how lucky I got. I was able to give him a set homemade CD's I made just for him that I felt he would enjoy. I hope he did. Hopefully, I'll meet him again to get his feedback. An amazing song on one of the CD's was "Call On Me" by Eddie Money, which i think would be another great cover to add to his future set list, and possibly record.
Thanks for the great music, Taylor. I look forward to your next stop on the west coast.
Stay well - Stay cool
PS - I LOVED the Whomp at the Warfield on HDnet!! Looking forward to the DVD release. I hope they put on lots of extras.
WHOMP ON SOUL MAN! LOVE YA BUNCHES.....
Don't miss a chance to experience the Taylor Hicks phenomena. I love concerts, see a lot, and if I could only see one more this year, it would be Hicks. Loved Roger Waters, loved Rascal Flatts, loved Toby Mac.... but Hicks is the one I would revisit if I had the choice. You have to see him live to really appreciate the heart and soul that goes into his performances.
I still enjoyed the Clay show much more. Go Clay!!
