Run don't walk to his next show. Best in the music industry. He's the biggest star in music right now.
Taylor Hicks and Earth, Wind and Fire, what a fantastic combination.

I went to see my favorite band Earth Wind and Fire but was pleasantly treated by Taylor Hick's fabulous opening act. Inspite of the fact that there was rain, the venue was filled and people loved Hicks' act. Very cool to watch Taylor Hicks perform with lightening flashing off in the distance. Loud applause and cheers after his half hour opening act.

I say it again, Taylor Hicks and Earth, Wind and Fire, what a fantastic combination.
Get Taylor Hicks stuff here
Great performances from 2 great entertainers.

I was also at Bethel Woods to catch Earth, Wind and Fire and to boogie to their hits - -Fantasy and September. Taylor Hicks made the occasion doubly worthwhile. His songs -- Gonna Move, Give Me Tonight,
Heart and Soul, Brown eyed handsome man, Just to Feel That Way,Naked in the Jungle and Heaven Knows got rousing reactions from the crowd and almost made us forget the main event.

This is one concert that was VALUE for money. Two great performances for the price of one. What's not to like ?
Why is Rush getting more hits than Taylor? Taylor is a legend. A must see in concert. You don't know what you are missing. Rush has people my parent's age attending. GO SOUL PATROL!!
You have it wrong. Taylor is the legend. Attend a concert of his and you will be a member of the soul patrol. Taylor is the King.

Taylor will be one for the history books. He's a legend. He's got the #1 reviews on here and elsewhere.
yeah!!!!
The legend strikes it hot again!
Better than any other performer in history.
Another incredible show by the great entertainer.
It's amazing what idiots like the one above has the gall to write a comment like this. If any one is acting like a twelve year old you take the cake buddy. Taylor is a wonderful showman and how the heck would you know and how can you judge? You are also a lowlife coward if you can't even confess as to who you consider a good entertainer in these times when music has alot to be desired.
I don't see any bad comments?!?
Anyhow, Taylor is an amazing person to see live.
Save your money! This isn't worth the admission.
Obviously the comment was taken out, I don't see it there anymore myself, but it was pretty nasty but believe me it was probably from someone who must lead a pretty pathetic life.
^^Oh ok. Well I am glad they are removing nasty comments.
The double treat of Taylor Hicks and Earth Wind and Fire was DEFINITELY worth the price of admission. The only drawback was something we could not control -- the drizzle. Other than that, Me and my friends could not think of a better place to entertain ourselves.

Definitely a concert worth watching.
Earth Wind & Fire were awesome, but Taylor was boring.
Both Taylor Hicks and Earth Wind and Fire were awesome. I doubt if the poster above even went to the concert.
He only played for about an hour! I mean, 50% of his set are cover songs. How hard can it be to play another 30 minutes of covers for your fans?
Now I see why he is the top concert to see.
I really expected more from Taylor after reading all of the reviews from his previous shows. It must be the same person who is writing all of them, because overall I was very underwhelmed.
What a show It was !

I would have to say it was one of the best I've seen-
Taylor looked like he really was having a great time...
His face shined with joy -- so relaxed just having a ball up on stage

It's was fabulous. The only drawback was his time on stage was too short. I guess that's to be expected as the opener for Earth Wind and Fire.
Here's the Set List for Taylor's Bethel, NY opener concert :

Gonna Move (Cover)
Give Me Tonight (original)
Heart and Soul (original) Tag : Brown eyed handsome man (cover)
Just to Feel That Way (original)
Naked in the Jungle (cover)
Heaven Knows (original)
Maze (original) Tag: Warm Love (cover)
The Right Place (original)
The Runaround (original)

We should not consider TAGS as full songs. So it isn't accurate to say that 50% of the songs he sang were covers. In fact, fully 80% of his songs were originals from his albums with a couple being his own compositions.
Opening for Earth Wind & Fire? That's so sad.
Taylor and Earth Wind and Fire were BOTH BLAZING. It was a great concert from an up and coming artist and a legendary group.

Bethel Woods is 4800 seats with a lawn GA capacity of another 12,000 - - haven't seen any official numbers but the best guess of those there was about 8000 in attendance. The venue is very well designed and even from half way back in the seated area and on an outside edge we had a decent view of the stage. The jumbotrons were very high quality and the sound was clear and balanced although a bit too loud.

So what's my point ? ?
I was not a happy camper !

Even though this was not a "huge" venue, was technically superior to most smaller ones I've been to , and Taylor and the band did a good solid set - - - it just did not feel right -
maybe I am just spoiled rotten but I want to experience Taylor's music in a more intimate setting where he can interact with the crowd if he choses - and even though I personally don't usually do the bus line, I like watching happy people telling him they enjoyed his work - I love seeing that quick smile when someone says something he gets a kick out of - - it makes it all seem like a community that has come together to support a talented "friend's" show - - rather than a commercial transaction more akin to going to the movies.

This was just an amazing concert. So much fun, and Taylor was the BEST!
I went to see Earth Wind and Fire, and stumbled into seeing Taylor Hicks. I really was not that excited to see him perform, but WOW, this guy was so good LIVE, and so much better than the way they showed him on that Idol Show. Don't miss Taylor Hicks LIVE, because he is really really good. It's like going to a party, and he is the ring master. Watching him move around the stage and directing the bands energy up and down was worth the price of the ticket. This guy is the REAL DEAL! No Wonder he won! Earth Wind and Fire were good, but Taylor stole the show!
yeah, taylor.....this is why we love him.
Wow - I have not been on in a couple days, so I can't believe I'm here to write about Bethel! So who was there? My husband I and were way in the back, but I did catch a glimpse of my friends at the Soul Patrol, Lori and Diane. We enjoyed the show - Well, I enjoyed the show, of course my husband would not admit to enjoying Taylor - though he did agree that Taylor's signature song -- "The Right Place" was excellent.

For me, I also love how he did Give Me Tonight - way better than it is on the album, in my opinion. It was so hot that day and Taylor was soaked through his shirt after about 3 songs (not that I minded - my husband thought he should have had a spare shirt - what do men know?!) Anyway, Taylor played for about 40 minutes and I could have happily listened to him for way longer. I was worried that the EWF crowd would not give him respect, but I have to say it was OK. They were not really there to see him, but they paid attention (at least the people around me) and gave him nice applause after every song. I heard a few people near me ask "Is that the guy who won American Idol?!" So clearly most of the people were there for EWF. I heard one woman say, with surprise in her voice, that Taylor "Was surprisingly great!" I guess that was compliment of some sort! EWF was really good - their show is quite a big production and they played around 90 minutes. I felt bad for the people with lawn seats - Right before Taylor went on it poured rain and was thundering and lightning - the works. Then as the evening went on, it got cool outside - how yucky to be wet and cold for the concert! Luckly we were under cover, even if our seats were not the best. Alll in all, the evening was a success for me cause besides getting to see Taylor again, I actually got my husband to a concert - practically a miracle!
Earth Wind and Fire were absolutely incredible! I can't believe that played all of those hits just as they did back in the 70's! Thanks EW&F!!!!!! Taylor was OK.
