After standing in line for over 3 hours to get in and only seeing 1 song from Behemoth, this was the worst show i have ever been to. It was not thought out at all and poorly managed. People were digging used water bottles out of garabage cans, filling them with hose water and saleing them. The lines for beer or water were over 2 hours, and with over 4000 people someone should have thought this out alot more. I want my money back!!!!!
We stood in line for well over two hours and missed almost half the bands, there was hardly any water, and the lines to get water were just as bad as the ones to get in the concert. We got to see some of Job for a Cowboy, Shadows Fall, and some of Everytime I Die before it got so hot and there wasn't enough water or space for everyone we just had to leave. I thought this concert could have been amazing if they would have planned it out bettter. There was not enough room, water, or ticket people. =/

I am so ultra pissed off I can't see straight.
The show started at 1pm. We got there around 1pm. There was a line the size of I don't know what to even compare it too, cause they were patting everyone down for security.

FOUR F'KING THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE.
WE DIDN'T GET INTO THE SHOW UNTIL 4PM.

Over half of the bands had played. By the time we got in there, BEHEMOTH (the only f'king band I went for) was playing their LAST SONG. Yeah, they sounded great, and I got some pics and a T shirt but F'K. We f'king left after that. There was NOWHERE to get water/beer/anything. There was a water hose near the entrance, where we drank out of directly, but SOME people were desperate enough to pick up USED water bottles (off the ground or out of the garbage) and fill them up with water and either drink out of them or sell them to other people. People were that desperate and THAT dehydrated. I've seen people go out in ambulences from heat illness because there was NO shade.

Once inside the concert there were two tents selling water and beer. And HUUUUGE lines to get to any of it.

I was ready for a riot to break out at any moment.

I want my money back, and I want compensated for my wasted time.
A big f'king lawsuit is needed.
Yes, the lines were long and the whole deal was poorly planned out, but there is only one person to blame for that. We all know him, Mr. Harper himself. And if you people can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen, douche bags! Other than that, the bands were awesome! Maybe if you tried to enjoy yourself instead of finding small things to nit-pick about, you may have had a good time. I know I did! When will you ever get to see a show of that magnitude at a venue anything even remotely like waverly hospital? Does anyone remember the lines at the haunted house? Were there any complaints? Too bad you weren't smart enough to plan on waiting and bring you own water. For those reading to see how the show really went, most of us had a great time. There was a fire hose being sprayed on the crowd for the heat, which caused alot of mud. Alot of the crowd took advantage of that, and had a good time mud moshing. All the bands seemed to have had a great time, also, being it was the last stop of the tour. In my eyes, the show was AWESOME!
Yea, despite all the bullshit lines, this show was one of the best I've seen, and I only went for Every Time I Die and Gwar. I saw the same show in Columbus, and Waverly Hills definatly kicked way more ass. The place itself was amazing, so to have all these metal bands playing there made it more interesting. I was fortunate enough to have plenty of liquid so i only had to stand in the water line once. The heat was bad, but not worse then the sun at any other outdoor concerts during the summer. Needless to say, the good far outweighed the bad.
Awesome show. Though the lines were completely ridiculous, everything else was freakin' sweet. Every Time I Die rocked my nuts off. The building and the history behind it made for an awesome place to walk around between bands to explore it. I was also fortunate enough to witness some kid get tipped in one of the port-a-potties. Anyone who wants to bitch about this show, besides the kid who ended up covered in human waste, must be a pussy who can't take a little heat and sunburn.
I waited in line for a couple hours to get in but that was mainly spent waiting for it to open, The gate was horribly planned. As for the water situation it was all based on space problems and they were selling bottled water off the back of a golf cart other than that it was a good show. The people who left early same on you. There was maybe 100 ppl to see the first band, GoatWhore, play.

Yea it was fucking hot the people who got heat injuries were the ones stupid enough not to plan for it, Drinking beer is all great and all but holy shit people it was 95 at least. There was more than 4000 ppl there.
The only band that i wasn't impressed by was Number 12 looks like you, there lead singer looked like a fag up there.

Overall it was a great concert.
You had to expect a wait with over 4500 paid admission. I've been to OzzFest that have been just as bad for waits in a line for entrance and drinks. Get over it.

The concert itself rocked, and if you paid $ 30.00 only to see one band, shame on you. Could the gate have been better, yes, could there have been more drink lines (beer, pepsi, water), yes, but everybody was patient, and it worked. I think that the next concert there will be better. I give a big thumbs up to all of the bands (got to see most of them) and a round of thanks to the cool security. The pits were large and ferocious. They even pushed the bands back an hour, to try to make sure that everybody could see them.

Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Chimaria, and Everytime I Die blew the place apart. +++
Let's not rate the show based on your poor preparation, okay?

Sure, the lines were long, but that's the way it is at every show. At least you could still see/hear the bands while you waited in line. If you missed the beginning, you should have gotten there earlier.

Yeah, it was hot. It was outside. In Kentucky. In August. This was unexpected? Some people are too easily surprised.

I didn't see anyone digging bottles out of the trash, but I did overhear a lot of folks say they weren't going to get in the lines because they were too long. Uh...hello? You don't get in line, you don't get any water.

For the number of bands that performed, thirty bucks ain't a bad deal at all. It was a great show, and those of us with even rudimentary advanced-planning skills had a great time. I'm looking forward to next year's show.
It was a Metal show! SUCK IT UP! What in the hell did you expect?! If you didn't like it maybe you should've spent your money on an American Idol ticket! I bet your the same little panzy-a'holes that kick their feet through the mall bitching cause' the new John Mayer album isn't out yet! Get a life! YOUR WORTHLESS!

Now that I've said that... I went to that show not liking Hatebreed at all but they kicked ass! I am now a faithful listener to anything they put out! Shadows Fall was great and of course GWAR! Their stage show was good but their songs lacked a little. I was disappointed with Every Time I Die and A Job For A Cowboy... I thought they would rock a little better than that! All in all it was a great show and I would pay thirty bucks in a heart beat to see it again.
Once through the long line to get in and after slamming down a cheeseburger and a brat, i began to feel normal again and was able to enjoy myself at this show! Hatebreed woke my ass back up, then Gwar kept me completly entertained and drenched with both red and green blood!! Lamb of god was also damn good live. With that said i split the show up into the first half being complete crap, but the second being so awesome that it made the first half a distant memory. Great show!
Well all i have to say was this show was the best show ever. Its true the lines were way to long. But if you didnt like you should of left. I worked there, Terry Harper is my cousin. We had only 2 people come up and complain. But the whole waiting to get into the concert is something you should stop bitching about. We have no control over there. You all knew it was going to be a huge concert with THOUSANDS of people there, they had to check everyone for YOUR saftey. And i'll tell you this now if he does it again next year, it will be even better because he'll now know what he needs to do to improve it. The people who are bitching are fucking babies. i was there from 9:30 in the morning. i didnt have any fucking water or anything. I gave all mine to the bitchy people. So next time SUCK IT UP!
This was the best show. i hate people who complain. besides the lines it was fucking amazing!
dont complain about the ticket people, there were enough of them, it was checking everyone that slowed it down. but that was only for your saftey, it was a metal show everyone gets rough.
FUCKING AMAZING SHOW!
loved it! stop bitching.
terry harper rocks!!!!
I am a resident in that area and fortunately so many people complained about all the trash, noise, fights, traffic and parking that there wont be anymore concerts up there. If you want to keep a good show going you have to respect your surroundings and most people didn't.
there was more good then bad.
Parking was handled at JCC per an agreement, the people I saw were not bothering people yards or property, you just did not like the fact that you could not hear you Clay Aiken CD. There were not even fights. There was not much bad at all, and guess what, the number of complaints came from only a few residents, most realize that this concert provided a very SAFE place for a concert. Did it run past 11:00, yes it did, but if they pulled the plug on Lamb of God @ 11:00, than there would have been trouble.

Bring more concerts, including Clay Aiken for the complainer of noise and trash from above.
I too am a resident almost 3 miles from Waverly Hills and the noise level was so loud you could hear it above the air conditioner and a floor fan. There have been many concerts in our area but this is the first one that was above the tolerable level.
looooved it. VIVA LA GWAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to the concert. "Doors open at 12:00" Line didn't move until 12:30. First band at 1:30. Didn't get inside until 2:00. Tried to get a water from another 2 hour line. Got disgusted and went to dinner. The bands that played while I waited in line sounded awesome. Where was the medical help? I watched 2 injured guys carry each other out after waiting 45 minuets for an EMT, which never showed, after they got security to call for help. Really loved the five hour wait for $2.00 hot water right off the back of a pickup truck. On the bright side, plenty of port-o-pots, just no chance to need them when you can't even get enough water. As for planning ahead. I brought 3 sports drinks and 2 waters but ran out waiting to get into the show. And I even shared. $60 to spend four and a half out of five hours in lines, Totally unacceptable. No excuse for this. If you sell 4500 tickets how many people do you plan to serve.....4500??
I thought the concert was great. This is a must for future metal concerts in Louisville. The atmosphere was awesome. The bands rocked, and the crowd was huge. I will be there next year, if SOTU comes back through.

I was lucky enough to actually talk to Randy an guys from Lamb of God, as the walked from Waverly back up to their tour buses. The are the coolest dudes around. Everybody was cool from the bands and the fans. A great success
This was simultaneously the best and worst concert I have ever been to. The bands fucking rocked...Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Every Time I Die, Behemoth, Shadows Fall....awesome! Unfortunately the concert was planned by a bunch of fucking retards. 10 security guards checking tickets and 2 concession stands for 4500 people was just fucking stupid.

Also what the fuck is up with the homos wearing tight jeans and mascara? Is cross-dressing in style now?
Super cool!!!!
This was an amazing show. Waverly Hills was a perfect setting for this show. Yes, the lines were extremely long and miserable but all worth while. The bands and atmosphere were the best. Only complaint is it needed to be planned more accordingly for the large amount there.
To all of you worthless fucks that think I should have "just enjoyed myself and got over it", you're fucking morons. HOW COULD I HAVE ENJOYED MYSELF STANDING IN LINE UNTIL 4PM WHEN ALOT OF THE BANDS HAVE ALREADY PLAYED?? Dumb fuckers. Fuck Terry Harper. He needs a serious lawsuit.

And compared to all of the other bands there, Behemoth OWN.
Too fucking bad I only got in long enough to see their last song.

I wish there had been a riot and the whole fucking place trashed.
Then all of you fucks that are telling me to "get over it" would have had your pansy ass show shut down and I would have been the one laughing.

The people that planned that shit and the ones taking up for them need a brutal beatdown.
Fuck all you residential pussies! It's fucking Waverly, of course any concert held there is going to be outrageously loud.

Yeah, the lines were some bullshit...but it was worth it! The greatest concert I've ever been to! I would stand in line for 3 days to see that show again.

And as far as Mr. Harper goes, you can count on him letting more concerts through his property cause he is making a shit-load off of us metal heads.

*"To all of you worthless fucks that think I should have "just enjoyed myself and got over it"...

YOU SHOULD HAVE ENJOYED YOURSELF AND GOT THE FUCK OVER IT!
Piss poor managed....i have been to alot of shows in my day that had alot of people and never even came close to this shit...someone made alot of money and didnt give a shit about the people who paid for the show....once they got their money it was FUCK YOU BUDDY!!!!! If the people who put this on weren't so cheap the tickets may have came with its own tube of ky...
I haven't seen lines this long and people treated this badly since Auschwitz
I think Auschwitz was better organzied!
The bands were awesome. Hopefully if Louisville get the tour again, they will have figured out when to open the gates (more than an hour before the first band) and how many vendors they will need. I hope it was just a learning experience.

Lamb of God = The best show I've seen from them
HateBreed = They have a new fan in me
Chimaria = Very impressive, have to get some of the cd's

All of the other bands were good, but the main acts kicked ass.

Sounds of the underground brings metal bands to the fans, thus I will be attending a few shows next year
Thunbs up to terry harper for make'n this possiable! I got hit ended up in an ambulance, and got to see Lamb of God. what more could i possiably nedd from the 502?
The lines were long the sun was burning. The bands were so awesome. It was definetly worht it!!!! Saw three venues for sotu this year and Waverly was the f*ing best!!! Hey those of you who came for Behemoth and diodn't stay til end of show really missed a special treat. Too Bad. This showed kicked
People who are complaining need to shut the hell up. It's mid summer in Kentucky, of course it was hot. And yeah, they could have been better prepared as far as food and drink, and waiting in lines goes, but all around I thought the show kicked ass. Plus, it's easy to run out of food in drink when you plan for 4500 people, and a couple thousand more sneak in. Lamb of God was amazing, as was Hatebreed and Chimaria. I would ave paid thirty bucks and stood around in the heat JUST for those three bands. Not to mention we got to see other amazing performances to boot.

So yeah, to be this show was completely worth every penny, and if I had the chance to do it over I'd take it in a heartbeat.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE ENJOYED YOURSELF AND GOT THE FUCK OVER IT!"
Heat exhaustion and/or dehydration is one of those things that is hard to just "get over." everything about the preparaton for the concert sucked. however the bands were awesome. behemoth absolutely blew me away. i just wish i would have got to see more than a song and a half. after that i missed most of the next three bands standing in line to get water. at least i could here them from the line...i guess. one of my buddies nearly passed out from the heat while we were waiting to get something to drink. however, if some simple changes were made like making it easier for people to get in, at least 5 more concessions stands, and keep people from sneaking in i'd definatly pay to see another show there. or i may just save 30 bucks and sneak in next time too.
let's see....over 4000 people 2 concession stands....i guess thats math only a kentuckian could understand!!!!!
yeah the having to walk so far and having to stand in line for hours was bad enough. but it was so freaking hot and we didnt have any water. everyone was throwing a fit. and then having to stand in line for three hours just to get tap water was insane. up until hatebreed played i said it was the worst concert i had ever been to. but after i got in a few mosh pits and stuff it got better. it got way better when we got to meet tina mattingly, the co-owner of waverly hills. that was awesome. me and my bro were psyched. lol. but i will never go to another concert there, it was just insane. but i will go on a tour of waverly hills. lol. but just getting to see it was the only reason i even went. anyways, i heard that four people died there but couldnt find anything online. does anyone know???
"i split the show up into the first half being complete crap, but the second being so awesome that it made the first half a distant memory."

kudos to whoever wrote that. cause those were my feelings exactly. the last half was awesome. lots of people left before lamb of god even played and that was really dumb. i still wish that i would have brought a camera though, i could have taken some amazing pictures.
I have a good feeling that if lamb of god and gwar were the first few acts that played and most people missed them, people would be singing a different tune!!!
bad ass fuken show! icame all the way from chicago and it was the best concert ever. ive seen so many great bands....fuck...iwent to the unholy alliance tour and this topped it off. just like everybody else, i got in during jfac which sucked cus i missed goatwhore and behemoth. but other than that it was the shit. lamb of god did a wall of death.....come on! they never do that shit anymore. best fuken concert. quit ur bitchin. ibet u went for that gay devil wears prada....fuken pussies
Maybe you should've gotten there earlier dumbass. I got there at 10 and all I missed was Goatwhore, who sucks anyways.
it was hot. it was a slow moving line yes,but it was worth the WALL OF DEATH!!! I would do it again and again. Keep that sh*t rockin. Terry Harper see ya soon. Silent Edge Entertainment is coming to Louisville soon look for us by 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the end of that concert it felt like i had fought a war and thats exactly what i expect of a great metal show. Sure they couldve planned better or whatever but SHIT HAPPENS. It was one of the BEST shows ive ever seen and ive seen some damn good ones. three days earlier i was in columbus for ozzfest and l.o.g and hatebreed seemed way more into this show. it was great! WALL OF DEATH owned
i had to leave cause of my friend said screw this i was ready to wait and hitch hike back to winchester tn but he paid me to leave yeah it was poorly managed but worth it and there was more than 4500 more like 8000 people i got there at 3 in the morning and when the gates opened i should noy have paid i just walked right in people were coming out of the woods from every where man it was worth it wished i would have stayed i could have managed it better its a big metal show their idiots for thinking oh hey 2 concessions stands will do it yeah right men they new better but it was awesome
freaking idiots they should have let the bands set it all up well no more concerts there they screwed that up pisses me off hammy j
