I don't know which concert the reviewer was at, but I thought Josh Groban was fabulous! His voice is even better in person than on CD. He was also funny, played PIANO, keyboards and drums and ran around that stage with the energy of a rock star. If this concert didn't impress this reviwer, he needs to get another job 'cause he's crazy!
I was at that show, and Josh brought the house down! He was lovely in EVERY way. The remarks on the gifts were meant to be teasing, Josh loves what he does, I really don't believe for one moment that he wanted to be anywhere but in the Key Arena giving the concert of his (and my) life. A more gracious man you will not find.
Get Josh Groban stuff here
Aaaah, are you kidding me!?! No emotion!?! What concert did you go to?? Obviously you have no clue about Josh Groban and music in general...What Josh has is called, TALENT....something no one else has...
As for teleprompters...all singers have them...but if you really took notice, he doesn't even use them!!!! And as for stating older women...you must open your eyes and be better observant....plus...what is wrong with older womem enjoying Josh?? That is the beauty of his TALENT...All ages can enjoy him...
I don't think you were at the same concert that I was on Sat at the Key. Josh was fantastic...in superb voice, funny, and full of emotion! I was sitting near the stage on the side and was amazed at all the men that were there...it sounds like you forgot to do your research on this extraordinarily talented vocalist and performer.

Sounds like the critic is just bored with her job and trying to get a rise out of Grobans' devoted fans. She obviously wasn't paying much attention to the concert.
I have to agree completely with her review. I couldn't have summed the evening up better. He was unemotional even boring and canned at times. It was also so loud. The Album "Awake" was not his best and neither was the concert period. Not trying to say that Josh is not talented, he is that but he needs to stick to a more classical direction. That :Machine" song was really bad. "February Song" lovely and his Italian is impeccable. I think he is bored of the concert thing personally. The "Closer" Tour was much better and Josh seems truly bored. Just my opinion but hey, she agrees with me and I with her. Telepromters...come on Josh you wrote some of these songs! Bored Josh?
I did not care for this concert and the price of the tickets is also something I did not like and would not recommend this concert to anyone.
If I could rate your article, it wouldn't deserve one. I think that you don't understand what he does for each one of us. Josh deserves more credit than you could ever give him. I am grateful for him.
Josh does not know how to sing without emotion. Anyone who has seen his face while he sings, knows that. I considered the possibility that this is a pathetic publicity stunt - free advertisement and all that... blah blah. But what concerns me above all else is that people are reading this, perhaps people who've never heard or seen Josh themselves, and this kind of blatant misrepresentation could turn them away from him! THAT, would be a far greater sin than getting a 'rise' out of his most loyal fans. If you haven't seen Josh yourself, I highly recommend it - his voice is perfect, his humor and mannerisms are endearing, his obvious generosity and charitableness will leave a lasting impression on you. He's all about his audience and his fans, and he genuinely cares about them. This is rare (if it even exists) in other artists today. What other artist do you know would risk getting sick by coming out to sign autographs for a HUGE crowd of people IN THE RAIN? And did I mention this was my FIRST Josh Groban concert? I think he made an impression.. what do you think?
Lackluster??? You have to be kidding!! Key Arena was electric and rockin from when the curtain rose to the end. It was the BEST!! Josh IS his music and doesn't need or use the teleprompters. His followers are ageless. Josh is one of the most talented, humble, kind and generous artists on the planet. Ms. Guiden, wake up and smell the Starbucks. You missed a fabulous show.
I'm not sure if this reviewer has any taste at all or and sense of humor the concert was amazing Josh was funny and witty and completely wonderfully talented .

I am very disappointed about this reviewer. I think her taste of music is at a different planet. It was my first Josh Groban concert and I was very amazed! I enjoyed every minute of it. His talent in various musical instruments, the unchanging voice (perfect and powerful) through-out the concert, his energy (running at the stage back and forth), his sense of humor, and attention to audience (and fans) is a real gift to all of us especially to music lovers from God.
This was my first Josh Groban concert and it was absolutely amazing, exquisite, and beautiful! I think this review is completely wrong and couldn't disagree more. Josh was fantastic! Thank God for Josh Groban!
the person obviously does not get it. lackluster? no emotion? josh is pure emotion. bored? he loved every minute.
this review is a slap in the face of every josh fan. mostly older women?c'mon, i saw plenty of young and old, men and women, children. he is the performer for all ages. he signed autographs in the rain after the concert. who else does this. josh is the one and only. he has been called "the voice of the 21st. century" caruso was the voice of the 20st.
maybe you should go and listen to rap-crap.
I agree with what others have said. I don't know what show you were at but it must not have been the same one! I loved every second of it. I brought my sister and a friend who are not as big of fans as i am and they also loved it! Josh is just a class act and an amazing talent. He puts more emotion into his music and prefromances then 99% of other artist. It was worth every penny in my book!
Way too loud. I could not make out the individual instruments. The band was just too big and loud. It kind of had the feeling of Josh Groban doing Mick Jagger.
