What a dissapointment and total waste of money. With ticket prices for orchestra & loge at an insane $175 each with ticketbastard charges I expected the show to last longer than a meager 90 mins. Glad I trolled ebay at the last minute and only paid $100 for a pair of lower balcony seats. This was such an awful show I don't no where to start. I guess I'll start with song selection they didn't play 3 of their most popular songs: back jack do it again, rikki don't lose that # and how don't you play reeling in the years. Now let's get to Fagens guitar playing or lack there of(the back up guitarist was playing more lead than Fagen) Also Fagens feeble attempt at humor when he stated that they were going to give the Allman Brothers a run for there money at the Beacon (cause they sold out 5 shows)Give me a break They couldn't even hold The Brothers jockstrap. I guarantee almost everyone that went this for nostalgic reasons wouldn't even bother next time because the band SUCKED !!!!!!!
This person is not qualified to provide a review for this show. Fagen does not play guitar. Becker plays guitar. Fagen keyboard and usually sings. The reviewer is clueless.

Apparently the reviewer only wanted to hear their early radio hits. Well, 30 decades of music came after that, probably a richer source than their early radio stuff, and most of it never even hit the charts. Dan fans typically are not interested in top 40.

I saw the Chicago show last night at it was very strong. They covered material from every albumn, were tight, energetic and it was evident that they were having a lot of fun. It is not often that you see 12 musicians of such caliber on stage together. It was an amazing show.

The reviewer might best save money for the next Eagles reunion tour.

I too was at the Chicago show. A few things I didn't like were the fact that guitar, both the lead and Walter Becker were a little weak. And, at first things seemed different. The arrangements were new. Being a die hard SD fan, I found it unsettling but after a few songs, I found myself wondering how the next song would be "updated". Thorougly enjoyable! Fagan is an underrated genius! Back up singers were fantastic and the horn section was stellar. The drummer-well, he's one of the best out there! Last year on the tour with Michael McDonald, everthing was very traditional SD and excellent as well. But this show was totally refreshing and unique!
