I went to the show to see Taylor Hicks and didn't realize how much I would enjoy his band too. They are serious musicians who love what they do. Taylor is a singer and entertainer but first he's a musician. These guys are great together!
1 1/2 hours of pure acoustic joy in an initimate venue ! One of the best concerts I've been to so far. The Encore alone was worth the price of the ticket. Taylor made Bonnie Rait proud with is outstanding rendition of Angel From Montgomery. He should record this in his next album. Overall a very worthwhile night and money well spent.

His concert was the best concert ever!
Taylor and his band were smokin hot and looked like they could have played all night. Fantastic harp from Taylor. Sax player is amazing. I'll add to the praise for Angel From Montgomery. Taylor can take a song and make it totally his own.
This show was two nights in a row, Wednesday and Thursday and Taylor changed up the set each night. He keeps it fresh and new. Some of us were fortunate enough to see both shows and new songs make it exciting for both the artist and audience.
What happened to the Taylor Hicks that we loved in American Idol? He lost his charm. Sure, he danced around like always but he lost his spark.
Taylor's seizure like movement distracts from his performance.
yikes--what a disappointment.
I left early. Very unimpressive.
No wonder he isn't selling well on the charts. Not going to succeed if this concert is an indicator.
Looks like some of the low life scum added their two cents, this is the first negative responses I have heard!
Just some DAUGHTRY fans upset that they can't hang with Taylor when it comes to performing. I saw Taylor at the Ryman, and he was amazing. No can touch this man when it comes to entertaining. His vocals and stage presence are undeniable.
Okay, guys, enough. Please don't post a comment unless you've actually seen the concert. Same goes for Daughtry concerts. This is not a war. It's childish and hurting both men.
Hello? The competition ended last May! How childish!
Some of Daughtry's fans are really childish. They post negative reviews and they didn't even attend the concert.
Love to read all the positive posts about Taylor's concerts. Saw him two nights in a row and the man is a phenomenal singer and performer. I hope to be reading every concert is sold-out as it was in Birmingham, AL. We support our idol, and that would be Taylor Hicks.
Why do Daughtry's fans always have to trash on Taylor? They're still jealous that Taylor won AI5 and not Chris. All of these negatives are by Chris' fans -- so don't believe a word of it.
Taylor put on another amazing concert. Come on Chris fans grow up! Go post reviews for the concerts you have seen. I haven't seen Chris in concert yet, so I haven't posted a review. I'm sure he wouldn't like his fans to cut down Taylor as Chris and Taylor remain friends.
The veneue was small, there were a little over 400 of us by my count.
But the performance was pure dynamite. If you love Taylor's eclectic taste in music, you will love this show. It has everything for everyone.
He is also very generous with his time after the show during the meet and greet ( even when he looked clearly spent after his high energy performance ).
Sincere passion for the music.
Just okay, nothing special. He was breathless for the most part of the concert, with all his dancing. You cannot appreciate his voice with all his moving around. His voice sounded strained, so he really has to watch out. The album is way better. He can dance his ass off so it was worth seeing.
Yeah, I agree, his voice was breath-y but so what?! He was dancing. You can't have your very best voice and dance at the same time. TAYLOR HICKS IS THE BEST IDOL EVAH!!! HE WOULD OWN CARRIE U, KELLY C, DOUGHTRY, MCBOOB AND ALL THOSE IDIOTS IN NO TIME!!! GO TAYLOR!!! WHOOOOOO.... SO, STFU!!!
The above poster sounds like a troll. This is getting ridiculous.

Taylor's vocals were quite strong both nights. Please don't post unless you have seen the show.
My Daughtry friends Loved Taylor!! Myself and four other Taylor fans met up with six Chris fans for the concert, and we all had a blast. I really enjoyed this concert for many reasons. Taylor is an excellent performer and more than met my expectations in every way. Also it was fun to see Daughtry fans really have a great time, and come away from the concert with such high praise for Taylor and his music. All of us decided to see Taylor the very next chance we get.
Excellent show. Many disappointed fans could not watch this sold out show because of the venue size. Taylor, next time you come our way, use a theater at least 10 times the size of this one !
Live Shows Don't get any better than this. Main drawback is venue is too small to accomodate fans who wanted to see him live.
loser
no wonder this idol can't sell.
No opening act at this intimate venue, just Taylor and his band giving us their all for almost 90 minutes. It looked like Taylor was enjoying the club vibe and being close to his fans. He talked with us a lot and danced even though the stage was small. And he joked with us too:"who says folks in Alabama got no rhythm?". He sang with passion. You know, until he was drenched in sweat and than gave us some "Let's Get It On". OK, that was perfect. The band was tight, loose, jamming and professional. Yeah, they were all those things at once! Taylor is a very charasmatic live performer. I read that off stage he is quiet and reserved, as many entertainers are. But when he takes a stage, he's on fire.
Audience sat spellbound through Angel From Montgomery. Taylor hit a homerun with this one.
It's so easy to see who the Daughtry fans are by the posts. I doubt Chris D. would approve of your infantile remarks. If you have seen the show, then make some intelligent comments if you didn't like it, not personal attacks.
It was just ok for me. Not the Taylor Hicks that I thought I would be going to see. He's a good entertainer, but I don't really care for the antics and the new music.
He's not as personable as I thought he would be. Good concert if you like soul music. I like his entertaining skills, but was disappointed by his lack of charisma.
Exciting performer in person! Songs from his album are great, and when Taylor does a cover he claims it as his own. Appreciated that he did not have an opening act at this club. Taylor is an experienced musician and performer and can easily fill a show with passion, energy and strong vocals. Very likeable entertainer who cares about giving his audience a great show. At times he got so intense and deeply into the music, it was like he became the music. He's complex on stage, wish I could describe this better. But if I can't describe the experience more articulately I can without reservation recommend Hicks and his band. From what I saw they can do just about any genre. Excellent show.
Can't imagine anyone not loving this concert.... or any of Taylor's for that matter. He definitely entertains.
I came away from this concert grinning from ear to ear.... my 14 year old (who didn't want to go to an old gray haired guy's concert with Mom), was on her feet most of the night and is still telling her friends how great he was. We have a new member of the Soul Patrol, and she even had to admit her old mom has purty good taste in music... Wow!
Dissapointed by the lack of Taylor's charisma -- please!!!!!! Go back to Daughtry's concerts!

When will Chris's fans grow up -- !!

Taylor is smokin' hot on stage. Please just enjoy your guy Chris and let us enjoy our guy Taylor.
Taylor has soul when he sings but he doesn't just sing soul music. He sings all kinds of music, from jazz to pop to country to a traditional folk song even (Will The Circle Be Unbroken). This guy just loves music. Its very genuine. I really liked Loren on the keyboard too. The whole band was hot but Loren stood out for me.
i liked taylor on American Idol and had not heard much about him after idol ended. I am curious as to why you don't hear much about him since ido, besides the tour. He's a good entertainer.
Taylor is AWESOME!
Taylor is AWESOME!
Much better than I expected... We will certainly go see him again.
YUMMY. I am 23, and never thought I would like this kind of music, but the only thing better than listening to him, is seeing him in person. His band is unbelievable, great show.
Taylor, please hurry back to Atlanta... The Tabernacle is never going to be the same.
I attended the 3/22/07 show, and it was simply incredible. This small venue, only about 300 people, made it very intimate, and Taylor, the band, and the crowd really connected. The crowd was awesome. I was in the 4th row center, and it was great to hear everyone yelling and screaming. Taylor seemed to really enjoy playing this type of venue.

What makes Taylor so unique and definitely worth seeing more than once, if you can, is his ability to make every concert different. His set list varies from city to city, and he tags in so many diverse songs from different genres. His band was so in sync with him as he flowed from song to song. His acoustic encore was the highlight of the show for me. The crowd was completely silent and just enjoying Taylor and his guitar. This guy really is what music is supposed to be about. He loves what he does and it shows.
