This is was my 4th kenny chesney tour and again i was not surprised how amazing it was, I have been to about 80-100 concerts from all different country acts to rock bands A-Z. Kenny is without of doubt one of the greatest entertainers of todays generation, kenny is non stop full of energy the whole show and he makes sure that the person in the front row(me) to the person in the nose bleeds have an amazing time. The sound was fantastic. All the opening acts were great especially brooks and dunn, i must say i was surprised that brooks and dunn decided to be an opening act for kennys stadium tours, i am not saying kenny should open for them i am just saying that brooks and dunn are too big for an act to open for anyone. Also i have seen a couple of set list for kennys shows and most of them had the encore being "there goes my life" however he didnt even play that song, and his encore was "she thinks my tractors sexy," the only concern i have is that his act was the same as last years plus a song, the stage was the same as last years and he also started the show from the center of the football field.. I paid $700 for two pit tickets, and it was worth every last cent.      posted by superleh2488 on www.concertfan.com
The Flip Flop Summer Tour at Lincoln Financial Field was a tremendous success. Pat Green was superb in his opening act. Sara Evans was okay. Sugarland was the nights biggest surprise -- so full of energy and really, really looked like she was having a great time. Brook and Dunn is still #1, they play second fiddle to no one. Kenny demonstrated tons of energy (he had to have lost 10 lbs.) but I wish he would have played more. In fact, you could have easily Flip Flopped Kenny and Brooks & Dunn.

We had seats on the floor and tailgated for three hours before the show. It is worth every dime of the $100 ticket price. Perfect weather, strong crowd support made the 6 1/2 hour concert a bonafide memorable experience.
Get Kenny Chesney stuff here
I don't think you should downplay Sara Evans..she was great...high energy...awesome legs! and great voice. Wish we could see a play list so we can remember which songs got played..lots of music for long time.. very great time! Agree the tailgating makes it too!
The Show was temendous! This was my first Kenny Concert, but it will not be my last. The only complaint I have was the sound in the upper levels (club/Upper Level) was terrible. There was an amazing amount of echoes and the bass made the floor vibrate which made a humming sound throughout most of the songs. I will be going to see Kenny in the Garden in NY and I know the sound will be better there. As I said the show was great, but I will not go to the Linc to see a concert ever again.
The sound for chesney was awful Brooks and Dunn played fantastic and sugerland was a great set.
We drove from the Bronx, NY to see this show and it was well worth it. We are scheduled to see 4 more shows this summer from Kenny.
He has great energy and charisma onstage. The band plays flawlessly. People overlook how good his band is and that is a MAJOR reason he sounds so good. True the set was very similiar to last year, but he didn't put out a new studio album, so it is to be expected.
I do agree that the concert is a little short. He does that every year. I think you must add time to your show as your career gets longer. Bon Jovi concerts are now almost 3 hours long as they have so much material that they MUST play.
He takes many acts on the road so the longer the artist goes past curfew, the more they have to pay the venue. Maybe one less artist can add 6-10 songs to the set list.
Overall it was great.
Sound was the worst! They should have had more screens and bigger! He should have done the concert in the round this way every seat would have had a great view!
First KC concert. I was alittle disappointed with him. The other acts were great, especially Brooks & Dunn. Kenny's band was WAY too loud and we couldn't understand him when he was singing. Maybe the mike was too close to his mouth. He has alot of energy, but I thought I'd be more impressed with his show. At the end of a long day, with too many drunks, it was just ok for me.
This was also my first live Kenny Chesney concert and I must say I was quite pleased. I thought the entire show was great, well what I was there for (we rolled in after Pat Green and caught Sara Evans' last song). Does anyone know where the set lists may be listed? I know each act played a great set and like to remember what exactly was played. I checked everywhere online with no success. As far as understanding Kenny went, we were in the stands and heard everything fine, could have been the alcohol in our systems and the fact that we knew most of the words anyway, but I guess I'll never know for sure. Overall review, Sugarland is amazing live and the chemistry between Jenn and Kristian is amazing (give them a couple more years and they'll be putting on shows on their own that good), Brooks and Dunn I had heard mixed reviews before the show, but I was blown away, and where do I start with Mr. Chesney? The start of the show in the middle stage was great being that we were towards the back and Beer in Mexico may become one of his best songs. The mix of upbeat songs and slow classics was pretty but I was waiting to hear more of the slower stuff but I guess there's only time for so much. The Uncle Kracker appearance was pretty cool because without him "when the sun goes down" would have not been the same (only problem was, that he wore a NY Mets hat and you're playing to a Philly crowd; we heard a couple Mets suck chants behind us and we joined in, but anyway). The only almost disappointment was the fact that the encore was only one song, and while it was a great song, there was so much material left that could have been thrown in there, would another song or two have killed them. We waited for a good 10 minutes because we were convinced there would be a second encore being as no lights came on in the stadium. All things considered, this was a great show and I'll definately return every year going forward regardless of the ticket price.
This was my first outdoor country show and my first time seeing Kenny. I was in section 223 (upper level - stage right) and the sound was terrible. Thankfully the crowd liked to sing along and I was able to determine what song it was from that. I couldn't hear anything that Kenny said to the crowd. In fact, every time Kenny stopped talking, a guy two rows from me yelled towards the stage "WHAT??" It was pretty funny. I still enjoyed the show and would go to another one. I'm not sure if the sound problem was with the Linc or the equipment. I saw Springsteen there when the place first opened and the sound was fine for that one. The tailgating was awesome. This about the only time I could talk to New Yorkers in the parking lot and be friendly towards them since we weren't wearing Eagles/Giants gear....lol. Good show!
1. It was a great day and the bands were terrific.
2. The sound board engineers, the speakers and amplifiers, and the entire sound system itself was pretty bad. Matter of fact, I've been to many a rock concert in the 70's and 80's and I never heard a sound system as bad as this one was. Maybe Chesney's sound crew are'nt used to adjusting their sound to meet open air arena requirements. Most of the music was way too distorted. Even Jennifer Nettles vocals weren't always being picked up by the sound board engineers. That was a real shame!
3. Kenny Chesney's ending was pretty bizarre. Think he needs to re-think how he closes out a show with a few high-octane encore songs. And he actually could have played a bit longer too.
4. Brooks and Dunn were excellent and so was Sugarland. Think they stole the show.

awesome Day!
This was my first Chesney concert and first seeing all the other acts also. The sound was awful. I am a big fan but I could often not figure out what song he was playing until well into it. I agree with the earlier post that they should have had more screens. Also I thought that the ending was a little bit of a let down, but was glad he played the tractor song. Brooks and Dunn had an awesome encore set. I really expected a lot more for Kenny. I think he is a great concert if you are near the front because he is so energetic and seems to love the fans...but if you are in the 200 level you don't get the same feeling.
As with any show in a big open area, like a stadium, sound is going to go right in to the air, there is nothing to hold onto it,like in a building..i still LOVED the show,Kenny is a real entertainer!! we have 2 more show to see, cant wait!!! Would go see Kenny Chesney anywhere!!
I loved it. It was worth every penny and then some. The opening acts were all great. I especially liked Sugarland, and Brooks and Dunn were just awesome. I would have just been thrilled to see Kenny, but all the acts were just icing on the cake. Can' wait to see Kenny a few more times this year. It just wouldn't be summer without him.
Pat Green was absolutely great, he did the most with the least. Sugarland and Sara Evans were both very solid but not outstanding. Kenny was great up until the point where he wanted to prove how hip he was. Having Kracker show how cool he was wearing a Mets hat in Philly was lame. He was lucky they didn't allow the Phans to have plastic bottles for their beers. And Kenny's version of Cowboy was basically one of the funniest (unintentionally) moments I have ever seen in a concert. Don't rap Kenny..

But the highlight of the evening was Brooks & Dunn. Kenny, watch the masters and learn. It's sad when the opening act should have been the headliners....
If your seats were in the upper level, you got ripped off- as we did. $70 and you could not understand a single word. We moved down to the first level during Brooks and Dunn and the sound was better. Someone needs to tell Kenny Chesney that uncle kracker's 15 minutes were up a long time ago.
As the previous posts have stated, the sound in the upper level was horrible. We enjoyed all of the acts, especially Sugarland and Brooks & Dunn. Kenny was ok, but as I said, we couldn't hear the words so we left about 30min before it was over. I would go to another Kenny Chesney concert, but I will never go to another one at the LINC.
Sound in the 200 level was awful!
I didn't expect the best sound quality but I expected more.
Kenny Chesney is the best in the business we had a great time. Brooks/Dunn and Sugarland are a close second. However, It's time to take Uncle Cracker's career off life support.
I agree - time for Chesney to do something different. was in club seats, and had an OK time - wasnt great -wasnt bad
Original seats in Sec 224..complained to guest services about the sound and they moved us to club level and sound was awesome but view was bad we could see the left side of the stage only. The guest services person stated they were getting complaint after complaint about the sound. He claimed they warned the Chesney camp the sound would not be good and recommended they use also use the Linc's sound system but he refused.

Overall great concert but if we had to stay in our original seats I would have been HOT!!!
I saw Springsteen at the Linc in the club level and couldn't understand a word. We were on the center floor up front for Kenny and the sound was great. Thanks all for pointing out how bad the upper sound was. I was curious. Pat Green should have had more time and taken some of Sara's time.
Great show! Great atmosphere!! Brooks and Dunn and Sugarland was awesome!! Tailgated from the moment the parking lots opened and just had a blast. We were in the upper level, sound sucked, but we had a good time. It's as good as you make it!!
