Taylor is the energizer bunny and his bass player, Boogie, is his energizer buddy. Great band, great singing, great dancing, great show. Full house - all ages and both genders - lots of young 20s/30s guys and gals - everyone standing and cheering for the whole show. Where do the naysayers get off saying that TH is not succeeding. He's so apparently loving every minute of his solo tour and pleasing his fellow musicians and his fans. He's a 'gotta be seen to be believed' entertainer! We'll definitely go to another. Chuck & Sally
Unbelieveable value of a concert!! This guy is the real deal, no question.
I've been listening to a high-quality recording of this concert and cannot fathom that this entertainment came at such a reasonable price. Hick's take on Les McCann's "Compared To What', alone was worth the price of admission.
HOT HOT HOT!!!

Okay, another fantastic Hicks performance. The man just keeps getting better. Wow!
Where do I start? I headed to the venue with my sons girlfriend. We arrived one hour or so before the doors were to open. We parked across the street and noticed an extreemely long line. As we crossed the street I immediately noticed a friend, Sami and her daughter. We met at the AI concert in Cols. last summer when we shared the wonderful experience of meeting Taylor for the first time. We caught up on old news. Chatted about the boards, Taylor and our dislike of the AI goings on. She said she doesn't post much any more. So I told her about this site.

My sister-in-law and my nephew showed up and we just hung out. I had agreed to be back up for the CC last night. Made my check call in. Sissy wanted to eyeball Taylor so we decided to wait outside for awhile. We waited and waited near the fence in the area of the buses. I saw Brian Less out playing catch. After a very long while Taylor came out to visit with a few fans that were inside the fence. (Must have been friends/fam of someone in the band. ) He took pics and gave them an autographed pic. They left and he stayed outside waved at us.

We stayed outside a bit longer. Our wait finally paid off. About 8:20pm Taylor rode a small cycle over to the fence where about 8 of us were waiting. He simply said, "Do you have anything that you want signed?" He signed things. Sissy said oh I don't have anything could you sign my shoe! Taylor chucled and got the biggest grin. I told him that we love his music. He told us to enjoy the concert. Of course we said we would! What an understatement that was............

We headed inside. A small venue. The GA was the pit near the stage. I was in the third row back in the seats. Didn't sit at all after Taylor hit the stage. When Taylor appeared the crowd went crazy. Taylor received a warm BUCKEYE welcome. The crowd was connected and continued to support him every moment of the concert. The crowd was mixed men, women, adolescents, young adults. All were very engaged. I didn't see many sitting, most were dancing, grinning, singing. (Probably quite a bit of ****ding going on)

I am not good about the set list. Just enjoyed every moment. Taylor just never stopped. I had read that at some venues he didn't dance much. Apparently his night off invigorated him and he sang and danced the entire concert. He was grinning, waving, joking and shouting out to the crowd. (SOUL PATROL, BUCKEYES)

Oh how the crowd responded. Singing, dancing screaming out TAYLOR!!!

His encore was awesome. Then the concert was over. The end is so difficult.

So, I said to my family. I am in real trouble now. I thought that I was a Taylor crazy fan before........... How in the heck does one leave a TAYLOR HICKS concert and not have plans for another? I know that I have to make plans to see him again. I don't think I can wait as long as I did this time.

As I think about Taylor Hicks I am so thankful that he found a way to pursue his musical career even though he had difficult years a long the way. I appreciate his talent but more so his relentless passion and soul.

I am sorry for my babbling, but I just don't feel that I am capable of expressing my deep appreciation for what Taylor means to me.

Hoping that all of you have or will be able to eperience a TAYLOR HICKS concert soon!!
