Finally, my turn to see Taylor live. Taylor lived up to the hype. He was so the showman. His voice was every bit what I heard on Idol. He hit all the notes and he went for them all. Dancing - my son in law said - he's gotten better. I think he was just in his element. The man can MOVE. Looked awesome even when he broke such a sweat his shirt and jacket were soaked. Sang his current CD songs plus some of his self produced and tagged others. Got great audience participation singing Chain Gang. The crowd was loving him!! I purchased his 2 self produced albums In Your Time and Under the Radar. Wowy, wow, wow. I can't wait for another chance to see him. Heard he went to Buddy Guys Legend and sang with the legend. Also almost forgot Keb Mo came on stage for the encore with Sweet Home Chicago. Perfect!!      posted by Kato51 on www.concertfan.com
More than I expected. Gritty, down and dirty, bluesy, funky big-time soul show. The whole band was on fire, crowd really loud and totally into it! When Taylor introduced his "mentor," Keb Mo, for the encore, Sweet Home Chicago, the whole place erupted. Great jammin with him and Josh (band's lead guitarist). Lots of bass solo time (Al rocks!), Hicks was unbelievably intense. Great show. Only complaint? Too short, these guys could go all night.

Fabulous show.....Taylor hicks is an amazing entertainer
Taylor and his band were amazing. If you get the chance to go, don't miss it. Where does this man get all his energy? He was moving and grooving the entire time. I didn't want it to end.
Fabulous entertainer...great band, fantastic sound...Enjoyed all the songs and the music...Taylor playing the harmonica is really something, he has soul and passion when he sings. A great concert!! House of Blues ROCKED!
FANTASTIC
Taylor made everybody at the show happy. That's more then enough for me! I have gone to concerts by super-star artists and have come away with mixed feelings- they have all kinds of special effects and the artist gets sort of lost (or a little lazy even)hiding behind those effects. But Hicks gave us 90 minutes of joy, energy, soul and just plain hard work. He wanted to give us a good time. He cared and that made a world of difference.

When he slowed down to sing songs like The Right Place (the song off his album that was originally written for Ray Charles) that was my favorite. I loved all the passion and energy but his voice is very warm and I liked it being showcased on that song.

Exciting show by an artist with a great gift for showmanship. And thank you to Keb Mo also!
Taylor was on fire! It was an amazing show that left me stunned and speechless, never saw anything like it. He rocked the house with passion, endless energy and right on vocals. Taylor exudes charisma, owns the stage, and is the ultimate entertainer.
You rock Taylor outstanding
We loved this show!! Wish we could have been at Buddy Guy's afterwards.
taking it to the street bu this was an alley
According to what I've hear... this was the BEST of Taylor Hicks' concert yet. This was my second and I can tell you it only gets better.

I'm glad that I was able to see a theatre show and a club show. Milwaukee was a much more passive experience - I just sat back and watched Taylor work his magic up on that stage. In Chicago it felt like we were truly a part of the show. There's a real energy coming from the crowd when you're all jammed together that you just don't get when the audience is back in theatre seats. And I really think Taylor feeds off that extra energy - giving him even more than usual. People who have been to multiple shows say Chicago was the best one ever and I can believe that.

It's a good thing I didn't take the camera to this show, because I found I sang a lot - the whole crowd did. First on Chain Gang, where he had us take over and I could hear him say (without the mic, that's how close I was) something about how good we sounded. Then again during The Right Place. And finally on Sweet Home Chicago.

Keb Mo was a nice surprise on SHC. You could tell Taylor was really excited to be sharing the stage with him.
For those who want to watch is outstanding version of SWEET HOME CHICAGO with legendary Blues guitarist, Keb' Mo' go to this site :

There is a video there.
Gotta say, even better than the Tabernacle in Atlanta, and that was great. Wow he just keeps getting better, I think he kinda likes this performing thing. Ya think?
My first Hicks concert and I had to comment. Haven't seen anyone in years who loves to perform and sells it like he does. Added bonus on the encore was Keb Mo wailing on guitar with the band and Taylor on Seet Home Chicago. Now that was hot! Forgot - Taylor on the harp was unbelievable!
Here is what you guys missed (Taylor's magnificent version of SWEET HOME CHICAGO with blues legend Keb Mo on guitar ) :

MAGIC!!!! THAT IS TAYLOR HICKS!!!!
First Taylor concert I saw and am lucky to have tickets in Joliet April 25th and am trying to get to HOB in Las Vegas.

YOU HAVE TO SEE TAYLOR IN CONCERT!!!! As good as everyone's comments are seeing Taylor in person, on stage, live is HOT HOT HOT.!!!! He has so much charisma and engery and his singing is everything you will love. The guy can do anything. Play guitar, harmonica, keyboards (a little bit) and keep the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. The fans were moving and a grooving and enjoying themselves as much as Taylor was on stage. HE HAS TO HAVE A DVD COMMING OUT SOON!!! You can tell the man is ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC and is sincere. RUN....DON'T WALK TO YOUR NEAREST TAYLOR HICKS CONCERT YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT...AND I KNOW YOU WILL KEEP GOING BACK FOR MORE!!!!
Blew the roof off of a packed House of Blues in Chicago. What a great live performer. There hasn't been anyone that crazy on stage in James Brown. Loved, loved, loved it. I want more!
This was the best concert so entertaining and what a band, it doesn't get any better then this! Taylor is the hardest working man in show business "God bless him and his band."
This is why Taylor Hicks is the best.
I don't get the hype over his concerts. I went with my wife. She had a good time so that's all that matters. Huge fan of Hicks. I thought it was entertaining, but it was sorta weird for me. But he seems like an ok guy.
That encore with blues legend Keb' Mo' was worth the price -- OUTSTANDING, just OUTSTANDING.
For me, this was a great show because of the joy he has when he entertains people. A hard working musician who loves what he does.
He's living the American dream. Talented, hard-working guy who gives it his all. Keb Mo an added bonus. Great soul band too.
his concert in Green Bay was awesome. Still can't stop smiling and talking about it and it was last week...He's every bit as good as he was on American Idol, if not better...Excellent show. I even e-mailed the Weidner center and told them how wonderful he was and got a great response from them
