| Surprise appearance by Ladysmith Black Mambazo for "Lullaby", "Weeping" and Ladysmith song "Homeless" was awesome! Sang many of the songs from "Awake", but unfortunately only a couple of songs from previous albums. |

| Too much filler stuff and not enough of just JOSH. Did not pay $112. for a ticket to hear South African performers and music. Paid to hear Josh Groban sing The Prayer or You Raise Me Up or Vincent or Forever Love or any of the other great songs he recorded. Too much time from start of concert at 8:00 to him at 9:00. Had to leave at 10:20 to catch a train and felt cheated. Why do people assume their audiences are paying to see anybody but them? Why can't they just perform themselves. Opening acts are a waste of time and money for a concertgoer and with tickets prices what they are, something should be done. Totally disappointed in the concert but not in Josh Groban's voice and talent. Should have been more of that!!!! |

| i saw the show in DC and had the exact same problem! i paid to see Josh not the opening act! i too had to leave at about 10:30 to catch the metro and felt really cheated! Other than that i loved the show and Josh is amazing |

| Josh needs to realize that we are not paying huge miney to see African groups. We paid to see and hear one of the greatest voices of our time. I was very disappointed in this concert and I had seen him in concert before. I also did not like his album Awake. The album Closer I have worn it out and bought another one. Awake is not his best work at all. This concert was not his best work. Please Josh, as a Grobanite I bed you to sing the fantastic music that made us all fall in love with you in the first place. This African music is not your style nor does it please your fans. |

Please do more of the stuff we love like You Raise Me Up, To Where You Are, The Prayer, Vincent or even your Italian stuff but please loose the Ladysmith group. Leave that to Paul Simon! His career is done yours has just begun. We expect more from you than what we heard here in the Big Apple. You might also want to limit your opening act. We came to hear YOU!!!!! | Awake was terrible. Closer was incredible. This concert was forgetable. Hope you did not do damage to your career you cutie! You are far too talented to step foot on a stage with the likes of what you did here. I went to see and hear Josh Groban and I got robbed. |

| Oh my, I am so upset! I love Groban. I did not think that I got enough of Groban at a Groban Concert. He seemed uninterested in what the audience wanted to hear and only did token songs. He wants to change his conceptual direction into something he is not suited for. When you have the pipes this young man has it is a crime not to give the people what they want to hear not this crap. People were leaving in droves. I heard so many people saying that they were sooooooo disapointed. I wish I had sold my tickets and skipped this one. I would recommend anyone that is planning on going to any of his concert dates to reconsider and maybe skip this one and stay at home, listen to any of his albums EXCEPT AWAKE (not his best work at all unfortunately) and still love Josh. I would recommend Closer! Then get the Live at the Greek DVD and be entertained not disappointed. |

I went to the concert fully aware of the opening act. I did not enjoy her at all, but Josh's performance more than made up for it. He is trying to branch out and I can appreciate that, but he needs to realize that most of his fan base is over 40 and not digging the African thing.
Having just written that, it dawned on me that maybe this is his way of attracting the younger crowd.

| The opening act was not good at all. We want Josh. He is doing music that does not captivate us like his older music does. Young people do not even know who he is nor do they want to hear a magnificent voice. Face it Groban, you blew it big time! This conert was boring and a waste of my hard earned dollars. |

| A group of us went and we were all very disappointed in the opening especially. Hardly what we expected from the likes of Josh Groban. I think that we will skip the next Groban concert! God knows what he will have on with him, perhaps Circ de Sole next! I agree with a lot of the reviews here, it was not his best at all. |

| We paid a lot of money for good seats. We had good seats. Now if the concert was good I would be pleased. This concert was not what we thought. The guy can sing but it was strange, odd, boring and even weird at times. The other co-stars were just horrid and not complimenting someone like Groban. When you think Groban you think of magical classic music, not South African. It was a waste of our evening and money. Way overpriced Groban for what you delivered. You are resting on your laurels and you are way too young and far too talented to do that. Hey maybe next year he will visit the Arctic and we will have Eskimos and Polar Bears opening for him! That would be better than this! I agree with some of the reviews here. WAKE UP GROBAN or AWAKE...that was bad as well! |

This was not what we all expect from this musical genius.

I have to rate it as Boring. It was not OK for Josh Groban.
It was not worth the price we paid we were most unhappy. Hopefully he is better on American Idol next month. Please do not sing some of the songs you did here. Do something that inspires people and makes them feel something. Not something that depresses people. Please no more falsetto (sp?) You are a man not Michael Jackson! Do something that you are known for not something that you are not. Have seen him twice previously and he was Outstanding and the absolute best. We still love you Josh, just going to be a little cautious next time. |

| I stood in line for hours to get his autograph on the Awake album and meet him. He seems so nice. He is so talented. I did not really like that album I have to say. Then I spent far too much money to see him here. I have to say while I think some of these reviewers are being really hard on him, I do agree with a lot of what they are saying. We want Groban at a Groban Concert! You should have done the entire concert not that opening act. One more hour of your classic hits would have them all talking out the other sides of their mouth. Just a suggestion but oh well. Win some, loose some, this lost me! |

Yeah it was a rip off that he didn't come on till 9 but I love the new stuff Closer was boring this show was 10 times better. | This concert was not worth the price of the ticket and I understand why some fans are mad. It was just okay but the opening was a bit much for over an hour of that music. A little goes a long way. Josh can sing and I think while he is trying to reach out to a new base that he is making his old base angry. Try to find some happy medium Josh where everyone will be happy. This demonstration was not up to what we expected. You are immensely talented and stick with what you are best at. |

I was not disappointed at all. Yes, his old stuff is amazing, but there was nothing wrong with exploring new territory. I think it's absolutely beautiful that he was inspired so much when he was in Africa helping with the Nelson Mendela Foundation.
I agree that his old stuff is timeless, but I also respect him because of the new direction and risks he's taken so far in his career. |

| Well when you pay hundreds of dollars per seat and you buy 4 seats at over $1,000 to see an amazing talent and you get mediocre, dull, weird and yes ridiculous. Top it off with over an hour of boredom then amazing turns into new directions you get mad and you decide never again. I am so done with Groban. My wife still likes him but I promise no more concert tickets, let him explore his new direction with the punks he wants to entice. Maybe they will spend their drug money to buy tickets to hear him. I rather doubt that. The other suggestion I have is that he move to South Africa and perform there. I am sure he will pack them in! This risk with his career was costly in my opinion.....looks like a lot of other people tend to agree with us or do you only read the good one....are there any here? Ah maybe 1. Nice rating Groban keep it up and your career is in the tank! Everyone makes mistakes but not with my concert dollar money. Never again Grobanm never again. One chance to bore me and you did an excellent job at it. |

It was a diversion, trying something new and different,it was not his best but it was okay. he is young and immature and he tried something new. sometimes that is good sometimes it is not. josh is talented that he should have seen the writing on the wall. he is not cut out to do this kind of music. He also needs to sing in english more. i get tired of the foreign languages. |

| I am so sad to read these reviews. I did not like the Awake CD though and a lot of people said the same thing. Maybe he needs to rethink these political opinions statements and music. I skip over them of that album cuz i only like one or two songs. On the other albums I like most of the songs. The concert it was really sad. He was late and seemed uninterested in giving his best. | I was very surprised that this show was as bad as it was. I expected more and have never seen him live before. He does have a great voice but his choice of songs left a lot to be desired. Only a little of his really famous stuff and the rest was kinda boring. Did he hear the booing in the audience, that was a sign! People booing an artist should tell you something. |

| I think that they were booing the opening and all the time they had to wait until he came on stage. He should get rid of an opening act and give his audience what they paid to hear...him. Sing more of the songs that made you popular and forget all this other stuff that is not well suited for your voice. I was disappointed I have to say. |

I saw this concert in Boston. I have also read all the reviews and comments on this tour in the other cities listed here. As a performer I would be gravely concerned at the words of my fan base. If not, then be prepared for the B Class Tour by bus coming up. Next stop the Bosch belt and opening night in the Catskills then the Poconos followed by a few nights in Branson! Vegas? Maybe as filler for a star. Soon you too will be an opening act. Your opening act was ghastly. Punctuality is the practice of Kings young man and you made your audience wait far too long with no explanation or necessity unless you were in a holding pattern over Logan with your Lear Jet Mr. Important Political Figure! Leave that crap out of your concerts when people spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to hear you do what THEY made you famous for doing! Rule One; Always give them what they want Josh baby, next rule, always leave them wanting more. You accomplished that in this half-assed concert. They wanted more alright! Not good Mr. Groban wanna be superstar. Stick with your style, you are a classic, a virtuous a not a Mandell a. You get one shot and you did some serious damage here. Serious!!!! Either that or get ready for Dinner Theater and rubber chicken!
I am torn between rating this boring or OK. I believe the opening act was 20 minutes too long, more so at 110 decibles with a heavy accent. Do you realize the "cheapest" see for us common folk was $100. We came to listen to you. I will forget the politics as a long list ahead of me have already made this quite clear; first, establish yourself like Tony Bennett or Ole Blue Eyes; then do what you do best. Your set was wonderful and tasteful, intelligent even. Give that person a raise. I believe it would have been nice to have heard a little of your personal side, born where, languages spoken, do you practice daily etc. So far, all I know is you sing, and I don't even know what different languages the songs were in. What a shame if we were in the learning mode and you failed to teach us anything. You have such a gift, a talent that most would envy. You need to focus it. The lord givith; and the lord takeith. Share yourself with us Josh, we ARE listening.
