An unreal concert, great vocals and guitar work from Brendan and Jack, awesome drumming from Pat and Jack "Lefty" Lawrence was equally impressive on bass. All of the songs that were performed, exhibited great energy and some surprise twists, i.e. on "Intimate Secretary", there was a long intro that was based on the song, with both Jack and Brendan were mirroring each others lyrics. There were of course some covers thrown into the mix, as their debut cd is very short (10 track at about 40 minutes), so I was fired up to hear a cover of N. Sinatra's "Bang, Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). There was another cover that they played near the beginning of their set which I could not place, possibly a Greg Allman or Lynrd Skynrd song, which got the crowd pumped up.

The Raconteurs have great chemistry, with a very appealing sound (bluesy garage that can sound Beatle-esque at times). Having both Jack and Brendan share vocal duties keeps the music/songs diverse (which is good); as everyone who is familiar with this group knows that Brendan is more refined as a vocalist, while Jack has a distinct raw vocal style.

The band did a fantastic job in getting the crowd to participate.
The concert wasn't as long as I would have liked, however I (as did almost everyone at the theater) enjoyed the performance set forth by The Raconteurs.

As a side note, about an hour after the show, a few of us were over at the pub on the corner and Jack Lawrence came into the place, for the most part unnoticed and sat down at a nearby table with two girls. I went over to him, just to tell him that they performed a great show and look to keep moving; I expected him to respond with a nod, but he shook my hand and appreciated the comment. I then asked him if they will collaborate in the future and that this isn't a "one and done thing", to which Jack said "There will be more music coming out from the Raconteurs, and that they will be back". We exchanged some more small talk and I took off as I didn't want to impose upon him. Lefty was without a doubt a really nice guy and with a easy disposition.

From his words, I look forward to more music from this hybrid band and will be looking to buy more tickets to future tours in/around the Boston area.
it was amazing.
